Rolfing SI Session length and price increase:
Rolfing sessions have historically been 75 minutes in length (besides the initial 90 minute new client session which included a free 15 minute consult). Starting August 1st, all Rolfing sessions will be 90 minutes. I often find myself wishing I had more time with clients to walk through the tailored self care routines and movement practices together before sending them out the door. This additional 15 minutes will allow me to do just that. This movement piece is key to sustainable, long-term change, so I believe it’s important to give it the time it deserves.
The other change to Rolfing sessions is the price. I have not increased prices in the 6 years I have been practicing. Throughout these years, I have gained new techniques and honed existing skills through continuing education each year, but have also incurred expenses along with these benefits. After factoring in these expenses, accounting for inflation, and assessing comparable service costs in the Midwest, the cost of a 90 minute Rolfing session will increase from $135 to $145. Purchasing packages will still save you 10%.
*Please note: Clients who started a 10 series with me prior to Aug 1st will be granted the old pricing through the remainder of their 10 sessions. 90 minute lymphatic massage appointments will remain $135.
New Service Offered:
I’m excited to offer Hesch Method of Manual Thereapy sessions soon! I have completed both the Sacroiliac Joint and Cervical Spine certification courses through the Hesch Institute and have been incorporating some of these techniques into my Rolfing sessions with great success. I am attending a whole body workshop July 24-26 and look forward to offering stand alone, whole body assessments in the near future. More details on length of session and price to come, but in the meantime, click the link to learn more about this method for restoring normative joint function – https://www.heschinstitute.com/our-method.html.
Potential Construction Disruption:
The final summer update is related to some work we need to do in our basement. Unfortunately, we have roots growing into the pipe that runs from the house to our septic tank, so we will need to open up the floor, remove the old pipe, replace it with a new pipe, re-pour concrete and repaint the floor. We are hoping that the piece of pipe affected is not directly under my office floor, but we won’t know until we get into the project.
We plan to pick a Thursday to start the project and hope to be wrapped up by the following Monday, but I will update clients as soon as possible if that changes. I appreciate your understanding and flexibility with scheduling around this inconvenience!
